This zone features something very interesting: "abandoned content". Since release theres an unfinished puzzle in one of the areas, you arent supposed to reach. This area enables us at the same time to go beneath surface level in order to pop up wherever we want. awesome.
Unfinished X-Puzzle aka Cerebro
The whole area has a Nightmarecourt/Inquest feel to it, which makes Scarlet a possible candidate to have something to do with this. Is it possible that a second pale tree is being nourished here?

Honorable Mention: Quaggan Pipe Organ
Not unintended to find, but rare content in this game, that isnt telegraphed by the UI. You have to play the melody the quaggan hums (the gw2-theme) to reach a treasure:
2 — 3 — 4 — 5 — 4 — 3 — 2 — 2 — 3 — 1 — 1 — 2 — 8 6
At this point id like to mention that there is a Hylek as well as a Skritt Mini-dungeon on this map that both have interesting mechanics to open their gates, but since its regular content (linked with an achievement) you can as well look it up on the wiki.
